The state government has issued a GO officially recognizing
the statue of Telangana Talli. CS Shanthi Kumari issued orders to this effect
on Monday. The government has approved the statue, which is a traditional
female figure wearing a green saree with a golden border and with a calm
demeanor, as the statue of Telangana Talli. From now on, the government has
stated in the GO that the Telangana Talli Avataran Utsav will be held every
year on December 9 in government offices in all districts across the state.
Along with this, it has been stated that the statue of
Telangana Talli should be installed in all government offices and collectorates
in the state. The GO states that the statue of Telangana Talli is a symbol of
self-respect and that distorting the statue of Telangana Talli or showing it in
any other way is prohibited. The GO states that it is a crime to disrespect,
destroy, burn, mock, insult or denigrate the images of Telangana Talli in
public or on social media.
'Telangana Talli is not just a concept. It is the emotion of
4 crore children. Our Telangana Talli is the embodiment of that emotion. The
public government is ready to unveil the image of Telangana Talli, which has
stood on the minds of the people, as a witness,' said CM Revanth Reddy. The CM
said that in designing Telangana Talli, we will take into account our
traditions, cultures and historical backgrounds and create a complete image.
Special features of the Telangana Talli statue
Reflecting Telangana culture, with a calm demeanor, with a
traditional turban on the neck, a headscarf with shaved beads, basket earrings
in the ears, a nose ring, a green saree with gold borders, bangles on the
hands, anklets on the feet, Chakali Ailamma, Sammakka Saralamma, our Telangana
Talli has been created with a very dignified appearance with the spirit of
struggle.
With her right hand, she has assured the nation, and in her
left hand, she has made a standing image of Telangana culture and tradition
with traditional crops grown in Telangana Maganam such as rice, jowar, sajja
and corn crops. The pedestal on which the Telangana Talli stands has been
designed as a mirror of history. The address of Telangana is the movements,
struggles, and sacrifices of the martyrs, and as a symbol of that, the clenched
fists have been embedded in the pedestal.
The way the pedestal is carried with all hands together,
reminding us of the goal of making the Telangana state that we have fought for
and achieved a place of honor in the world, indicates the way of Telangana
reconstruction. The colors used in the design of Telangana Talli also have a
speciality. There is great philosophy. In the pedestal, the blue color stands
as a symbol of the Telangana water scene in the Andesri song, "Godavari,
Krishnammalu Thalli Ninnu Tadapanga...".
The green color appears as a symbol of the agricultural
glory of Telangana, "Golden veins in the green soil, fruitful." The
red color is a symbol of change, progress, consciousness. The gold color stands
as a symbol of auspiciousness, wealth, and prosperity.
