Telangana Earthquake: Telugu states suddenly shaken, is that the real reason for the earthquake?
An earthquake shook Telangana's Mulugu district. People ran out of their homes as the earth shook in Telugu states.
An earthquake struck several parts of Telangana-Andhra
Pradesh on Wednesday (December 4). The earthquake intensity was recorded as 5.3
on the Richter scale. NGRI retired scientist Sri Nagesh said that the epicenter
was recorded north of Medaram in Mulugu district. The epicenter was recorded 40
km inside the earth. He said that the epicenter was recorded at a distance of
5.3. An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude is rare in the Telangana region.
Previously, an earthquake of the same intensity occurred in Bhadrachalam in
1969. Earthquakes also occurred in several parts of Chhattisgarh and
Maharashtra. Officials said that the earthquake occurred between 7.20 and 7.26
am.
Earthquake tremors were felt in several places in Telangana
states. At 7.27 am, the earth shook in many places including Warangal,
Hanumakonda, Khammam, Bhadradri. Scientists estimate that the epicenter of the
earthquake was Medaram in Mulugu district. Scientists say that this is the
first time in 20 years that there have been major tremors in Telangana. They
say that earthquakes occur when there are differences between the layers of the
earth. NGRI retired scientist Srinagesh says that there are many differences in
the layers of the earth in the Godavari belt, which is why tremors have
occurred several times in the Godavari basin.
On June 13, 1969, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3
occurred in Telangana. After that, an earthquake of this magnitude occurred
again just now. While an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 occurred in Medchal
in 1983.. On January 26, 2021, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 occurred
in Pulichintala. Retired scientists say that these are the only earthquakes
recorded in Telugu states with a magnitude of more than 4 on the Richter scale.
People in Bhadrachalam, Kothagudem district were shaken by

The epicenter of the earthquake is close to the Singareni
coal belt. Tremors were felt most in Bhadradri district. People were scared
because it was near the coal belt. This is the first time that an earthquake of
such a large magnitude has occurred in the coal belt area. Earthquakes occurred
in Kagaznagar in Adilabad district at 7.27 am. People came out of their houses
due to this. They were scared for a while, not understanding what was
happening.
