TGPSC Group 1: 67.17% attendance in Group 1 Mains, mains exams concluded peacefully

TGPSC Group1: Telangana Group 1 Mains Exams ended peacefully. 67.17 percent attendance was recorded in the mains exams conducted last week. The Telangana Public Service Commission has revealed the details of those who have appeared in various category-wise examinations.

The Group 1 Mains Examination conducted by the Telangana Public Service Commission ended peacefully. The secretary of TGPSC announced that 67.17 percent attendance has been recorded in Group-1 main examinations in Telangana state.

21,093 candidates appeared for all seven papers in the Group 1 Mains examinations. The examinations conducted from 21st of this month ended on Sunday 27th. A total of 31,403 people have qualified for the Group-1 Mains examination conducted to fill up a total of 563 posts. Among them are 20 sports category candidates who appeared for the exams with the permission of the High Court.

 

Candidates who qualified in Group 1 prelims exams were conducted main exams in 46 exam centers in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal districts. TGPSC has released reservation wise details of candidates who have appeared for all the papers in Group 1 Mains.

 

The commission has clarified that except for sports category candidates, candidates belonging to all reserved categories will be eligible for the open category posts on the basis of merit in the main examinations. A total of 2,550 candidates appeared for the 5 percent unreserved posts in Multizone-1 and 2 in the Group 1 Mains examination. Out of that, there were 182 candidates who were not local to Telangana. It explained that 1,229 candidates were selected in the differently-abled category as per the ratio of 1.50. TGPSC Secretary Naveen Nicholas said that there is a possibility of slight changes in these statistics.

 

Candidates Appeared in Examinations by Social Class.

In the Group 1 preliminary examinations, 3,076 unreserved candidates qualified and 2,384 appeared for the examination. 2,774 candidates have qualified in Economically Weaker Section and 1778 candidates have appeared in Mains examination.

 

In BC-A category, 2,449 candidates qualified for Mains while 1,648 candidates appeared for Mains. 7560 people qualified in BC B category while 4743 people wrote the mains exam. In BC Sea, 664 people qualified for mains and 527 appeared for the exams. 6324 qualified and 3847 appeared in the BCD category.

 

BC in this category 92 people qualified and 661 appeared for the exams. In SC category, 4828 people qualified for mains and 3503 appeared for the exams. In ST, 2783 people qualified and 1983 people, in sports category 19 out of 21 people appeared for the exams.
