The concerns of Telangana Special Police (TGSP) constables have become a topic of discussion. The TGSP constables working in the battalions across the state are agitated. At first the family members protested, but recently the constables directly took to the road. They are expressing their concern that they are being cheated in the name of police duty. They are demanding that Vetti should be freed from the job and implement a single police system.
Not against 39 people.
The police department has taken the concerns of TGSP constables seriously. Orders were issued on Saturday night suspending 39 constables. The order states that action will be taken against those who instigate protests and violate discipline. Among those suspended are six constables of 3 Battalion. There are six constables in the 17th battalion, six in the fourth battalion, 6 in the fifth, 5 in the sixth, 5 in the 12th and five in the 13th battalion. A total of 39 people were suspended.
DGP is serious.
DGP Jitender responded to the concern of battalion constables across the state. He said that it is not appropriate to agitate in the police system, which is the nickname of Karmakshina. In this regard, DGP Jitender made a key announcement on Saturday. Constables said that it is not appropriate to raise concerns even though they said that the old system will be implemented on holidays. He said that there is a suspicion that anti-government forces are behind these agitations. He warned that legal action would be taken against those who participated in the protests. DGP reminded that Telangana recruitment system is being implemented by other states.
As the suspension of battalion constables became controversial, the government responded by lifting the suspension imposed on the constables. It also promised to implement the old policy on leave for constables. This dispute which first started in Nalgonda started protests in Karimnagar, Warangal as well as across the state. The police who have come on the roads over this dispute are demanding the implementation of a single police system across the state.
