A netizen's tweet, CP Anand's reply
A netizen criticized the imposition of restrictions in
Hyderabad by tagging CP CV Anand. "Is govt afraid? Section 144 is being
implemented in the city without assembly, public gathering. Wow great job by
great govt," he tweeted.
CP CV Anand responded to the netizen's tweet. It has been
clarified that this notification has nothing to do with Diwali festival
celebrations. Information is being received that some groups are planning
surprise attacks and protests on various agitations, Secretariat, CM residence,
DGP office, Raj Bhavan etc. The CP said that this notification has been given
to curb these and protect peace and security. It has been clarified that the
need for such measures is generally implemented by the police across the country.
Some have explained that it is not a curfew as they are spreading false
propaganda. So CP Anand advised the netizen not to relax.
